Back in early September, one of our fabulous senior students, Rhiannon Lee, was one of only 136 candidates out of a pool of over 5,000 invited to participate in the Association's IDTA Freestyle Scholarships.
Rhiannon took part in a 45-minute class and was then asked to perform in front of the four judges, alongside parents and teachers from across the country in this wonderful event. On top of this, she has already been nominated for next year's iteration.
It is a great honour to be nominated for such a prestigious scholarship, and we are incredibly proud of Rhiannon and her achievements. In order to be nominated for such a scholarship, you have to be taking an exam in Grade 4 or above, or in Freestyle medal tests, Star 1 and above, and the examiner puts forward the names of students that particularly excel and display unique talent.
Our other senior students, Honey and Jessie, also received nominations during their round.
